KatAttack Scratch posts are absolutely superior to any of the flimsy crap you get from Kmart or online. Beautiful and sturdy, our cat loves them and I'm always surprised by how quickly they get delivered. We bought this to help out one of our cats who has developed some arthritis in her back hips, and both our cats love them. One of them just likes to climb them and sit on the top step, waiting to be adored, and the one who actually has arthritis thinks they’re super!
I bought these steps to replace some plastic K-Mart steps that were noisy during the night when the (then) kittens were using them and always getting knocked over during rambunctious play sessions. The KatAttack V1 Steps were the perfect solution. Very sturdy, just the right height and bonus of being another scratching surface for the cats. The kittens are now just about one and don't 'need' the steps to get onto the bed but they are still in daily use and look great at the end of the bed. The steps are fully apporved by Soren & Gryphon. As you can see from the photo, Soren loves the steps so much that he perches on them when I have lifted them up for vacuuming! These steps have been a great addition and I fully expect them to be in use when the kittens become old man cats! I also have a Paihia, New Yorker and a tall Sierra scratching post in my KatAttack arsenal - all high quality, long lasting products and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or buy again ( I have my eye on the new Vegas but need some serious saving for that one!).
Our cat loves to sit in front of the window but her cheap Kmart tower was falling into pieces. Most cat towers are way too big for our window seat so we went for these steps! Great quality, quick delivery and for a 5kg cat plenty of space to lay on top! Super sturdy, even for hanging off it 😂!

Pine Poles
Our upright poles, the backbone of our Cat Trees, are built from solid 100mm thick New Zealand pine. The carpeting on these poles is firmly glued and stapled, allowing for longevity and easy recovery even after your cat has extensively used the surface. This feature ensures that our products are both sustainable and extendable over time.
Carpet
Our choice of carpet material prioritises your cat's safety and comfort. We exclusively use cut pile carpets, which are less likely to catch your cat's claws compared to loop pile varieties. Many of the high-quality carpets we utilise are locally sourced from New Zealand. For example, the Cavalier Bremworth carpet, which can cost upwards of $300 per linear meter, is extensively used in our products. In fact, our popular New Yorker model requires more than 2.25 linear meters of this carpet.
Sisal
Our top-quality, maritime-grade Sisal is carefully hand-wound onto our uprights, secured with industrial staples for maximum durability. Crafted to withstand even the most ambitious feline with a fierce spirit, our Sisal proves to be the strongest available on the market.
